No personal data collected

Money Counter has no accounts and does not collect personal data. The app does not send your records to us.

Financial data stays in your browser

Transactions, accounts, balances, categories, notes, rates and preferences are stored only in this browser’s IndexedDB on your device. We never receive them and cannot restore them. Clearing site data or removing the browser deletes them.

Portable backup

The portable .moneycounter.json backup contains your financial data in plaintext; it is not encrypted. Store and share it only where you trust.

Hosting

The app is served by our hosting provider, Cloudflare Pages. Like any website host, it processes technical request data such as your IP address to deliver the pages.

Support emails

If you email support, we use your message and email address only to answer you. We keep this correspondence for days after the request is closed, then delete it.
